Hunger Games Fun and a GIVEAWAY!

I am a huge fan of the HUNGER GAMES and am so excited about its opening this weekend! When Angela Daniels, Lead Fiskateer asked if I would help out with a project, a post and a giveaway, I jumped at the opportunity! So, lets give some stuff away! I wanted to make a jewelry piece that I could wear to the movie on Friday, and in true Art Life Form, I made these altered art pendants! They feature the darling "Bird" punch, but have you noticed how much the resemble a MockingJay??? :)

I used WOW Embossing powders to give the bird and the "fire" paper underneath some texture. I used the Ultra-High Gold, which is a thick embossing powder that is just heavenly! The pendants are from HHH Enterprises and they have great Jewelry Making supplies! Have you seen the darling new Jenni Bowlin Punches made by Fiskars? They are the cutest things I have ever seen and I had to have them ALL! I'd like to give some away to you! I'll be giving away 2 Fiskars Punches, and one of these pendants!

Basically Bare "Final Exam"

I am so excited to be chosen as one of the finalists for the Basically Bare Design Team. I'd like to let you in on some of the things I have been working on with their products and what you can see in the future from me!

I received my first big box of Basically Bare to feature in my classes and kits. I went right to work and made these two fantastic Kits which will be either classes or full instructional kits!

This first kit features the Basically Bare "Tilly's Tabs" Mixed Media Album which can be seen HERE on Scrapbook.com. It also features the Dress Me Up Dressforms which can also be seen HERE on Scrapbook.com. I paired this kit with brand new Prima Paper and Embellishments, tons of Art Life Goodies and Ribbons as well. Stay tuned for the final reveal of what you can do with this kit!

The second Kit features the Basically Bare Album "Funky Findings", which can be seen HERE on Scrapbook.com and also features a Dress Me Up Dressform as well as Chipboard Flowers and Corrugated Cardboard Houses! I paired the album with brand new Ruby RockIt Papers, Art Life embellies and tons of ribbons and twine.

I can't wait to play with these kits, and they both will be available soon either through my website or taking a class with me! Stay tuned for more info on my new favorite Mini Album Manufacturer Basically Bare!

I must say that putting these kits together was so much fun for me. It is one of my most fulfilling parts of the Art! I love pairing Mini Albums, Papers, Embellishments, and Ribbons and making these kits! It gets me so excited to put them all together with my pictures and share them with you!
BE SURE to comment on this blog post, because Basically Bare is giving away a FANTASTIC prize to someone who posts a reply on our blogs! They can win a completely line of the Winter Basically Bare Albums and Embellies! I would love for it to be one of my friends!

Sunday Evening Post

What a crazy weekend we have had. My poor little Tony broke his LEG! He was just riding his bike outside and made the turn too fast and the bike fell right on top of his leg. I have never been so scared than when you are driving your child to the emergency room and waiting to be seen and getting medicine for your child, that motherly instinct comes in and your ready to do whatever it takes to make your child better. It is the hardest part of being a parent is to witness your child hurt or in pain. We spent many hours at the hospital, then we were up all night due to pain and swelling. I am so lucky I have a husband that is strong, clear headed, and keeps his cool, and soothes at the same time. While I am a wreck, pacing the floor not knowing if I can handle it, he just swoops in and takes over. He is fantastic and I love and appreciate him so much for this.

I was lucky enough Friday night to have Lora come over and we played with glue and paper! I finished the 2 2-page layouts with the brand new BASIC GREY for my class on March 18th at Scrapbook Territory and here are the pictures! I love these papers and embellishments! I can't wait to share them with you, I hope you can come to the class. If your not local, I will have these kits available with full color instructions, and I'll post a link to them when they are up on the website. For now, I am off to do some more posting and work, Aaron is on first watch tonight with Tony, I hope he sleeps tonight, he needs it poor baby and so do we!
