Classes, Design Team and MORE!

I have just gotten over being yucky sick! It was terrible! I don't get sick often, but wow this one threw me for a loop! I was sick for a week! Its hard being sick and not able to do the normal things that you do everyday. Thankfully, I am on the mend and even used my scissors and glue today! I have a fun class coming up on Sunday here at the house, I am using the brand new Jenni Bowlin Papers and Embellishments. I have made a really cute 4x4 album, and we'll alter her vintage desert tin and mini cigar box. Its a perfect project for a Mom for Mother's Day or a beautiful keepsake for your memories! Here is the link for the class held here at my home on Sunday April 29th, at 1pm. CLASS SIGN UP!
I also got great news right as I was getting sick, I made a brand new DESIGN TEAM! Its for Globecraft Memories and I am so excited to be a part of this brand new team and can't wait to play with their products and introduce you to them. Here is a link to their blog, Look for lots of new projects in the near future with them! Also check them out on Facebook! Above is one of their fantastic products!  I can't wait to play with things like this and see what I can come up with!  I am so excited.

Don't forget, if your close and you want a great National Scrapbook Day, come join me at Scrapbook Territory on Saturday May 5th for 14 hours or cropping fun!  Tons of goodies, dinner, dessert, goody bags and projects included.  Call the store at 510-559-9929 to sign up soon!

New Class and Crafty Goodness!

Well, I have had good/bad news, I was laid off my job last week. This is both a blessing and a hardship. I had taken a job outside the home to pay for Bianca to go to college. It was really hard to go back to work and be creative, take care of my family and work. So, I'm back at home, feeling very creative, feeling like I have control over my home and feeling like I can take care of my family. I am going to try my best to cover her college expenses, and we are going to take it day by day, and see how it goes!

On to the fun stuff! I held the Intro to Gelatos Class on Sunday here at home, and what a lovely group of creative women! I think a few really found a new medium that they loved! I think they all found some creative artistic juice inside of them! I was amazed and inspired by the mini works of art they all created and we just had a really fun day! If you haven't made it to one of my workshop at my home, come to one, I promise, you'll meet some new friends or see some old ones, and have a really relaxing creative day!

I have finished two project for my upcoming classes. One was the Basically Bare Album "Inspiration" which was done with Ruby Rockit Papers and stickers, along with Basically Bare Embellies and album. This album features working on corrugated cardboard, canvas, acrylic and chipboard. We will emboss on it, tear it apart and paint! So many fun techniques are covered in this colorful fun album! I'm teaching it at Scrapbook Territory on April 22 and you can call the store to sign up at 510-559-9929, its $35, and will be a great technique driven mini album!

The second project is the Jenni Bowlin Mini Cigar box and mini Album! This is near and dear to me, I absolutely LOVE Jenni, she has been one of my most inspiring artists I have had the pleasure of knowing for many years. She keeps coming up with the most beautiful papers, embellishments, punches and more! I LOVE working with anything that is her, since it is so "ME"! In this class at my home, you'll learn how to make a 4x4 album from strictly paper, and we'll alter and embellish the cigar box, a "vintage" tart tin and the album itself! You can sign up on my website HERE and the class is on April 29th, $40. We are going to have a fabulous afternoon making this project!
